Starting an NPO Fundraising Platform from the Ground Up

TapKat is helping nonprofits do more good in the world by making online fundraising easier, faster, and more effective. Founders Steve Volk and Wendy Volan spent years running successful fundraising campaigns for the Shelby American Museum in the Boulder area using their own proprietary software application and business model. With six-digit proceeds, returning donors, and attention from the NPO community, TapKat realized they had a product that could help other NPOs achieve more success — but taking the concept from one static site and building a SaaS platform would require outside guidance from a strategic development partner.

TapKat will guide you through the challenges of launching a fundraising platform startup in less than a year, discuss how to choose and work with an outside development partner, and will demo the TapKat platform with a real-time fundraising scenario.
