Kickfurther

From the book The Richest Man in Babylon, "Make thy gold multiply."

In the modern era, especially post financial crisis in 2008 and endless government regulation on non-accredited investors, it is hard for average consumers to pursue capital investment.

At Kickfurther, we believe capital investment should be open to anyone and that everyone should have the opportunity to earn wealth.

There are two major problems following the financial crisis: it is excruciatingly hard for businesses to get a loan from a bank and people have been intimidated to invest their money.

Why not solve both problems with one company?

Kickfurther is disintermediating finance by taking banks completely out of the equation.
Companies such as OnDeck, Prosper and Lending Club gauge businesses at Mafia-like interest rates so those businesses can get the funding they need. They can do this because banks will not and cannot loan money because of the regulation following the financial crisis.

We allow those same companies seeking funding to negotiate their rates on our marketplace in the form of a "profit." Companies come to Kickfurther in search of funding for their product(s), a projected timeline for how long it will take to sell those goods, and a profit (analogous to a ROI) for the people that fund them. It is up to the marketplace to decide if this is fair and the company gets to communicate with our users, post credibility metrics and build trust. Businesses end up with the financing they need at affordable rates. Our users end up with an investment vehicle that is easily understandable and open to everyone.
